How to care for drop cloths.
Understand that different types of drop cloths come with different labels and care instructions. It is possible to wash your canvas drop cloths in warm water and tumble dry them on low heat or suspend them to air dry. However, recognize that canvas may be vulnerable to shrinking. When they are washed, they will often become slightly less spill-resistant as well. The same applies to the Rubber-Duckie Butyl-coated backed dropcloth. Take note that the One Tuff, Stay Put Canvas and Butyl II drop cloths will not be washed traditionally. Instead, employ a rag to wipe up any serious paint spills to stop the paint from drying.
